Sidharth Malhotra has revealed his upcoming film VVAN – Force of the Forest, marking his debut in the folk mythological thriller genre. Set to be released during Chhath Puja in 2025, a festival celebrated predominantly in North India, the film promises a fresh and exciting addition to Malhotra’s diverse filmography.
On November 7, 2024, Sidharth took to social media to share a motion poster for the film, expressing his enthusiasm for the project. He wrote, “Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team. Can’t wait for you all to experience VVAN – Force of the Forest on the big screen in 2025.”
Produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Arunabh Kumar’s TVF Motion Pictures, VVAN brings together two major players in the entertainment industry known for their distinct storytelling styles. Directed by Deepak Mishra, recognized for his acclaimed work on the popular series Panchayat, the film aims to dive deep into rural folklore and Hindu mythology, with a focus on drama and emotion in a rural setting. VVAN draws inspiration from successful folk dramas like Kantara, promising to deliver a captivating and immersive narrative.
