The incident occurred on September 17, when Sameer Khan was accompanying his wife, Nilofer Malik Khan, to Criticare Hospital in Kurla for a routine check-up. In a devastating turn of events, the driver of their SUV mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to ram into Khan. Witnesses report that he was dragged nearly 50 feet and pinned against a wall due to the impact, sustaining critical injuries.
