PM Modi Mourns the Passing of BJP Leader Devender Singh Rana, Acknowledges His Contributions to Jammu and Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief over the sudden passing of Devender Singh Rana, a prominent BJP leader and MLA from Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir. In a message shared on X, Modi hailed Rana as a “veteran leader” who tirelessly worked for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. Rana, 59, passed away in Faridabad, Haryana, following a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of public service and dedication. Previously affiliated with the National Conference, Rana joined the BJP in 2021, significantly boosting the party’s influence in the region. Union Minister Jitendra Singh also conveyed his condolences, calling Rana’s passing a “deep personal loss.” Modi extended his sympathies to Rana’s family and supporters, acknowledging the void left by his untimely departure.
