Israeli fighter jets conducted overnight bombings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, leading to widespread panic as families fled the area. The strikes were reportedly aimed at Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. As of Saturday, September 28, 2024, the death toll in Lebanon has risen to 700.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that new airstrikes were launched targeting Hezbollah positions in eastern Lebanon following intense bombardments of the group’s stronghold in southern Beirut. “The IDF is currently striking terror targets belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the area of Beqaa,” stated a military spokesperson.
