BJP Defies the Odds: Confident in Victory Despite Exit Poll Warnings Amid predictions of a Congress resurgence, the BJP stands firm, eyeing power in both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir.

In a bold and defiant move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dismissed recent exit poll results that suggest a political resurgence for Congress in Haryana and a potential shift in Jammu & Kashmir. As the political atmosphere thickens ahead of the October 8 results, the BJP remains unwavering in its belief that it will continue to reign in both states, setting the stage for an electoral showdown that promises high drama.

Unshaken Confidence: BJP’s Optimism in the Face of Doubt

Despite exit polls painting a different picture, the BJP refuses to back down. National spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said confidently, “In Jammu & Kashmir, a BJP-led government will be formed. The elections after the abrogation of Article 370 were a historic moment, and democracy prevailed.” With an eye on securing a third term in Haryana, Bhandari dismissed any possibility of Congress leaders Bhupinder Hooda or Kumari Selja rising to power.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh echoed this sentiment, emphatically stating, “We will form the government with a full majority in both places.” He pointed to Prime Minister Modi’s decade-long efforts in fostering development and trust, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir, as a reason for the party’s continued strength.

Exit Polls Signal a Different Story

However, the exit polls suggest otherwise. According to predictions, Congress could potentially end BJP’s ten-year run in Haryana, winning approximately 55 seats. The Congress-National Conference alliance in Jammu & Kashmir is also projected to gain an upper hand, possibly leading to a fractured mandate.
