Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has assured that the railway administration is taking rail accidents seriously and is on high alert. He stated that the railways are coordinating with state governments, state DGPs, and Home secretaries regarding safety measures. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also involved, and actions will be taken against anyone responsible for any sabotage.
In a related incident, three railway employees in Gujarat’s Surat district were arrested for allegedly tampering with the tracks. After tampering, they alerted officials about a supposed “sabotage,” attempting to claim credit for preventing a potential train accident, according to police reports.
